- Passbook savings accounts require no minimum balance to open
- Interest compounds daily and is paid quarterly (Rate based upon balance. See Current Rates for more info)

Demand deposit and savings accounts with no activity by the customer for 365 days will be moved to a dormant status. When dormant accounts have a minimum balance of $200.00 or less, a fee of $5.00 will be charged each statement cycle.

Heritage Community Bank is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2012, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts and Lawyers Trust Accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
